This is amazing… Just amazing. I’d root harder for them if they weren’t in my conference. Knicks with Melo back in the lineup should be scary good. Hope everyone meshes!

  2. allaroundballer says:

He starts this game not so well, but he ain’t back off !

    what you call that??? STAR

    • allaroundballer says:

Lin for Billups ! Olympic Roster

      I think he’s American Citizen right ?

      • tsaiwilson says:

yup! He’s born and raised in Palo Alto, California. His parents were immigrants. He can play for the US Olympic team but China and Taiwan are looking to add him too.

  3. HeatKingOfEast says:

Lin is just amazing. to tell you honestly, i watch nba for miami heat games only. ahahahaha but right know, i come to love to watch nyk knicks game also. usually i just check the box score in every game, but now, when there is a knicks game, i watched it in nba live streaming. because of this guy, way the go LIN

  4. DropDead says:

I think by now everyone’s convinced that Lin is for real.

  5. Synecdoche says:

I think D’Antoni should reduce the minutes of C. Anthony and try to make him more of a team player, not just leave him as he is – selfish and individual player. He must understand, that at this point J. Lin and A. Stoudemire, maybe even T. Chandler are more important pieces of team.

    • Anne says:

Really??? That’s funny to me. Melo is the Knicks best player by far. FAAAAAARRRRR. Whether he meshes with Lin or is the right player for D’Antoni’s coaching style is another issue. If Melo can mesh then he is THE most important piece because he takes them from being a mediocre team to a contending team. And isn’t that what it’s all about?

Jeremy Lin is exactly what the Knicks needed, fundamentally. An intelligent point guard with 0 ego who can rise to the occasion and empower his teammates with his play and his words. But Carmelo is the gravy. He’s the player that will make things happen when nothing is going right. That’s why he is a star and get paid the big bucks. The Knicks needed Melo in Minnesota and Toronto; they are lucky to have won those games. Imagine if Melo is on the court. Do you think Toronto could double and triple team Lin and not pay dearly for it? I cannot wait for Melo to get back to see how this plays out. I’m optimistic, though. There will be ups and downs but I wouldn’t diminish the contributions of Melo, Lin, Amare and Chandler to this teams success. With this core, they can make some serious noise. I predict that Melo’s scoring will reamin the same or even go up because of Jeremy Lin. Lin will find him when he is in a position to score and he will not be doubled as often because of Lin’s penetration.

  6. Patrickmarc says:

No pressure for the moment, he was not expected, he was not the favorite,
If he is bad nobody will blame him. For Melo things are different.
But Lin looks like somebody who can stand the pressure, and we will see that may be in the future.
He can loose his job of basket ball player and go back to Harvard, it is confortable to think about that when you take the last winning shoot in the last second. Tout devient relatif dans ces conditions.

    • Gman says:

Not too much pressure when it is tied as well. allows one to shoot without care.

      • shhh says:

true that, but are you saying the Lin shoot the ball without care?

he may have a more confidence taking it because of the win or OT outcome but he got a good look and the defense allowed him that.

    • Daren says:

True. But it’s also enticing to give up on basketball when you can get similar amount of money in Wall Street with your Harvard diploma. Why work so hard just to break into a league that didn’t respect you when you could get the respect you deserve by working for a financial firm?

  7. stephen says:

i hope they will continue to win once carmelo return to the line up. they will surely be a formidable team if they all fit together..

  8. michael says:

i think they should trade melo for howard… melo is a good scorer but he always want the ball all the time so they will have problem if melo comes back again… i like lin to stay…

    • Yiran says:

      Teams, not stars, win championships.

    • Daren says:

No waayyy…..I’d like Lin to come to Orlando and do pick&roll with Howard

    • Rich says:

bad combination Howard + Amare = bad spacing. you’re talking out of hatred to Melo and love for Howard.

    • Anne says:

Right,,, because Howard is such a winner on his own team, right? Please. I want a player that wants to take the shot. I will live with it, good or bad. Recall back in the 94 finals vs. Houston… Game 7. Nobody wanted to take the shot. And we know how that ended. Carmelo is a winner. He won on Syracuse and played TEAM ball. I think they will mesh and this team will be one that no one wants to see come playoff time.

One good thing is that Carmelo is hearing all these disses and critiques. He’s not stupid and not deaf. He will mesh. But if you think he will defer to Lin, that’s not going to happen. And it shouldn’t. It’s the PGs job to get the best out of the players on the court, not the other way around. I think Lin will do that and he and Melo and Amare will be a triple threat from anywhere on the court.

  9. Joseph says:

    LINSATIONAL!!!! =D

  10. Cora n Peter n Nathan says:

When i watched the highlight of this game especially in the last shot made by Lin, i definitely exhausted. I really proud of him as a guide who hardworking in every single game and hope he can achieve at least ten consecutive winning streak or more in the future. Love to watch what he had done in the last six games.

  11. Chris Lin says:

The irony of basketball is, it is a team sport where individual player makes great differences.
But the differences can only be made when the other four persons provide you with trust and support.
The truth be told, if Melo is in the line-up and he won’t let Lin take that winning shot.
On the contrary, if Melo has enough faith in his team and made the decision to hang over the ball to whoever is doing the best or having the adrenaline of clutch moment, then NYK will truly be a formidable team.

  12. prix says:

This is where Kobe, KG, Duncan and Nowitzki era ends…Rose,Blake, Durant, Lin, Rubio and Wall are the future… Lebron, Wade, Bosh are right now in the present…

  13. monkeyjoker says:

    Come on fighting !!! Lin-derella

  14. james says:

Lin is at best an average player. His turnover ratio is very high for a PG. New York should think about his trade value at this point and makea business decision. At this rate he will burnout very quickly.

    • Rich says:

      avergage player – you’re crazy !
turn over ratio – over what ? although he has a lot of turn over, keep in mind that he is still relatively new with the Knicks, 6 games so far. He can only get better. Of course opposing team will get better also on defending him.
trading Lin – bad basketball decision and business decision !

    • jude says:

james, you don’t see the point. He is still young, and asides from the exceedingly insane performances, he has already brought to ny a huge amount of profits. U would not trade him were u own knicks except you are totally out of you mind.

    • shhh says:

NY should keep him, they are looking for a PG, now they have one for 700K… he is in a rookie scale, so he should not be that expensive next year. do you want them to inlcude him in a trade for another multi-million star? at 700K, NY is garnering more positive attention, more following, ticket/merchandise sales and MSG stocks have risen.

they are spending basically nothing for 700K and getting much more in return, it’s good for NYK business.
you can’t trade him now anyway, NY people will be mad for sure.

  15. Veyron says:

Nice one Michael. what about Melo + Tyson Chandler for Dwight Howard?

  16. Patrickmarc says:

    the coach is playing now…

  17. Law064 says:

This is a nice ride for Lin, when Melo returns they should get better. They have Amare Melo and Lin who all can score. I agree that he’s TO prone and a defensive liability but he is sure a good scorer. Nice turn out for him from almost being sent to the D League or waived here he is putting life back into the Knicks. Hats off to Lin

  18. Marco Polo says:

from where does Jermey Lin come? from space???

  19. Marco Polo says:

    nickame: Chinese Jordan hahahahaha

  20. jacknohara says:

Strange thing is Lin’s game. I’m the only one to notice that nobody contests his shots for real ? It’s just me or looks like nobody plays real D against him ? It’s just me or he’s averaging like 6 turnovers a game ?

Let me put my take on that . Yao is now retired. The NBA visibility might be a little hurt in China and in eastern countries in general. In a post lock-out scenario, where the Knicks were suposed to finally improve, they struggled big. In a season of big comercial losses, the league cannot afford to have one of it’s top products (the Knicks) valued so low. How they fix it ?? Creating a situation looks like a good solution for all of those problems. Suddenly, the whole league is revamped.

To me, it all looks like a staged act , sorry. Or maybe i’m too paranoic about conspiracy theories. See, when Lebron plays kobe, the league doesn’t need to worry about who’s going to win, both will be great for them. But when the Knicks can’t get over the hump for, like, 10 year’s, they’ve got to start doing something about it.

    • shhh says:

you saying they’re not putting a body on him, didn’t you watch his game against lakers?

and your consipiracy theory? wouldn’t you think NBA should have done that in a team they’ve owned, the hornets?
you’re saying NYK value is too low, are you talking about the team value financially? yeah they have lower to only one team this year (lakers) and nobody else.

      • jacknohara says:

I’ve expressed myself wrong. When I said the Knicks had low value, I meant basketball value, on court value (they’re a lame team!!), because in financial terms they’re really only behind the Lakers, like you just said. What I was trying to say is that maybe the league was tired of having one of it’s top products playing so poorly.

As for the Hornets, the NBA took them only because nobody else wanted to do it. To make it short, looks like the investors think is better to have no NBA team at all than owning the Hornets.

Maybe I went to hard in this subject, but there’s something about this whole linsanity thing that isn’t fitting well… or maybe i think too much about conspiracy theory.

    • shhh says:

and lastly, he is chinese but i believe his country is taiwan (Republic of China).
Republic of China and People’s Republic of China are 2 different countries.

  21. Paul says:

    Wow! Taiwanese Jordan!!!

  22. Gman says:

I am not convinced as hard some people. Against the Raptors, who lack an identity(in the works by DCasey), The Raptors showed that if you close the paint, Lin is useless. Lots of turnovers, and sure he got 27 and 11, but with 9/20 and 8 turnovers allowed JCalderon to burn him for 25. Good job D.Antoni for putting Shumpert on Calderon changed the game and made the Raptors stale on offense, because untill that time they were 60% shooting. Not to mention the refs give no respect to the Raptors, they havent earned it, because there were quite a bit of calls that were just dumb. Regardless Lin played well minus the 8 turnovers.

    • shhh says:

how do you explain NYK vs LAL last friday?

    • shhh says:

thing is, Lin is not a superstar, and i don’t think he will be.
he can be an important piece of a team but will never be a franchise player.

but he is in the news because of the fact that he is a phenomenon that has change the landscape of NBA right, is there any other big NBA news that you can think of in the month of February other Lin?
no one knew him, no one expected him to do this, no one looked at him, and then this happened.
i don’t know how long this last but it’s happening… and he is an underdog, america loves underdog story…
people could care less about TO ratio, people want excitement and feel-good story… and this is what he is now.

  23. Steven says:

I’m really struggling with this Jeremy Lin story. On one hand I’m blown away by his recent success and I think it’s fantastic for him. On the other hand, I still hate the Knicks and hell will freeze over before I ever root for them lol.

  24. Pinoy says:

  32. Kelvin T. says:

I have been a Knicks fan forever. and loved them through the good times and the bad. It pisses me off that Time Warner and MSG cant come to and agreement so that I can watch some of the Linsanity too even though i only get to see highlights on sports center, i’m going crazy without my Knicks. Go Knicks!!!!
