HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS – We waited with bated breath for this?
LeBron James delivered the news we’ve been hearing about all day.
He’s going to Miami, joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to for a Heat trio that is expected to be the foundation for a modern-day NBA dynasty.
James leaves in his wake a city and team in Cleveland that will likely never recover from the emotional scar of being spurned by the near-hometown kid during the most insane free-agent frenzy this sport has ever seen.
Those folks in New York, Chicago and New Jersey will lick their wounds as well. At one time or another in the past week, they all thought they were going to be the winner of the LeBron sweepstakes.
But they didn’t have the emotional connection the folks in Cleveland had to a player that grew up in Akron and has spent his entire life in Northeast Ohio … until now.
Some 28 minutes into his primetime special, “The Decision,” James finally delivered his decision.
And the words seemed didn’t seem to get stuck on the way out, though he said he didn’t make his decision until Thursday morning.
“This morning I woke up, had a great conversation with my mom and once I had that conversation I was set,” he said.
The Miami Heat!
“It gives me the best opportunity to win for multiple years,” James said, admitting that it was hard to turn down an opportunity to play with Wade and Bosh in a situation where they could all realize their championship dreams.
And to the fans of Cleveland?
“It’s hard to explain,” James said. “I never wanted to leave Cleveland. And my heart will always be around that area. But I also felt like this is the greatest challenge for me, to move on.”

I wish Miami the best but all I can say is Organized Chaos down in Miami..Miami will not be so nice!
MIAMI DYNASTY… ALL THE BEST!!!!

I don’t care which team James chose as long as he eventually wins the championship…. take your time LBJ, the rings will come….. “HAIL TO THE KING” !!!!!
I’ve been a Laker fan since I was child and watch the greatest players MJ, Magic, Kobe and see now the difference between those and Lebron is that they were the main Man when they won Championships, with Lebron playing with other all star players what legacy he wants to achieve for himself…don’t get me wrong I’m happy for him if he wants to WIN.. but now they are expected to win championship because of the the new big 3…all of us now will be saying…”the only reason he got a ring is because he was playing with Wade and Bosh!” …that’s a no brainer, they have to win next year but…………….they have to beat the Lakers which I believe can win again for the three-peat!
didn’t you realize that kobe has a ring because he played with another superstar, first from shaq which eventually leave the team for miami and won a championship, which kobe cannot do alone in mighty lakers team thats why they acquire the service of another superstar which is of course pau gasol, and won the championship, is that a legacy for you? :>
ALL THE BEST!!! MIAMI ROCKS!!!
From Singapore
They won’t last more tthan 3 years together. Look what happened to Wade and Shaq…these guys egos are too big..
Wade and Bron will have a fight over who’s team it is..lol..and there will be a breakup before they win a title..when winning doen’t come so easy. Celtics, Magic and the Bulls are not gong to roll over and crown him king. leBron is so selfish. I agree with Dan Gilbert
OMG Miami as just hit the JACKPOT !!!! GO WADE/BOSH/JAMES its time to break records !!!
From Portugal a MIAMI HEAT FAN

heat will be a contender again
great just great I loved the Heat. We were a family
now we will be a circus… I feel for those who live in Miami and try and attend a live game the ticket prices just tripled .
LeBron James announces that he will buy the Miami Heat, endorse the New York Knicks, marry two of the LA Clippers’ Spirit Dancers in a Utah ceremony in August, become Executive Vice President of Mining and Distribution for Polyus Gold (NJ Nets’ owner Mikhail Prokhorov’s gold empire) and play basketball part-time for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Lebron You Suck, flirting wit all the teams, I just remember you that you only have 1 ball at the same time, the 3 players have huge egos… Bosh says I´m not I sidekick…. Now what you are??? The worst the inner fight for the spotlight between Lebron and Wade……. Miami sucks and Lebron and his soup opera……………………APESTAS LEBRON……
James is a Coward!! Leaving his hometown and make a short cut to win rings..That you call king??Making his own legacy??
The chosen one???You should be ashame…
The Triffid is completed!!!!
Now it’s the mortals versus the with three heads.
I’m chicago fan nowhere close to chicago. My favorite player were michael jordan and ben gordon. But when ben gordon left I feeled destroyed. Now knowing lebron fans from cleavland and around the world for that silly reason is just sad.I wish the best for lebron but know I have three player to hate, pierce for the biggest fakers;Lebron for leaving his hometown, how many player have the chance to play for their hometown ,Nba 2k11 will never be the same and I hate kobe for being kobe.Lebron now you will never be better than jordan or kobe as much I hate to say it.Charles barkley is better than you, imagine that.
Miami organization wins on the LBJ battle but the work are still to prove. .very well done but lakers would still be the champs this season. You ask me why? PG, fisher vs. Chalmers, SG,Bryant vs, Wade,SF,James vs. Artest,PF, Pau vs. Bosh, C,Bynum vs.haslem or beasly if they will not trade him. and plus the Odom factor. . .
I think that Heat team will definitely be a great team but that does not Guarantee a RIng…. everyone swore Lebron was going to win this year…. Look at the desperation the “King” has to do to finally get his ring…. Its funny because so many Kobe haters and Laker haters say Kobe has to have great players around him to win….. WHO DOESN’T??? Great Miami team and Lebron will lose all credibility if they lose…. I personally think this move hurts his legacy more than anything because just about ALL of the greats stayed with 1 team and won with 1 team before leaving for another team. I like Lebron and feel he is talented enough to win a title but the way they are going about it hurts his legacy more than anything. Its like if Jordan and Bird could not win they went to team up with Magic in LA….. now what do you think MJ and Birds legacies would be if they won titles with Magic who already had a title or 2?
i LOVED d LBJ-less Heat.. this actually sucks for D.wade.. Lets jst h0pe that the eg0-maniac james kn0ws his place in the team. & oh lebr0n, wade’s name will be called last in game intr0ducti0ns, s0 d0nt t0ss ur chalk, d star hasnt been intr0duced yet. lol
wow this has got to be the most unprecedented move in NBA history. regardless of whatever players the heat have or will get from now, they will come out of the east. i expect the lakers to come out of the west, but they have got to rethink some things now. there’s no more room for weak links in the roster, and the lakers should consider using lamar odom to attain a premier point guard. whether derek fisher re-signs or not he cannot start anymore. damn this is epic.. it’s like the autobots vs decepticons transformers war
I love it. Just absolutely love it. Although i hate lebron, i have the cavs even more. And for him to stab cleveland in the heart for miami, is just great. Now i dont have to hear these stupid ass cavs fans anymore.
ABOUT TIME!@!@!@@!@@#!@!@!@1@!
A tsunami just arrived in Miami. The SUPER TRIO is a dream come true. They just need to get a few more pieces together to guarantee the championship, especially shooters and defensive players. This will surely be a wild ride for the Heat.
its going to be hard for the lakers to win #3..miami heat is killing kobe right now..im still a laker fan & a very great fan of kobe but its gonna be tough for him this coming season..cant wait to see the lakers plays the heat..
MIAMI DYNASTY… ALL THE BEST!!!!

Let’s give them a chance guys, I read one article from this column stating that “to win a ring, you just have to jell with other greats”…I think thats absolutely pathetic! Even LBJ was surrounded by superstars in Cleveland but the teamwork of the Lakers still prevail. Even if we add Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard on the Miami bench, without their team effort and less-ego antics they can’t win it…Let’s not judge them from their first acts…It’s their decision to unite in one uniform. The question is if they can do it on their team plays.
Lebron was one of the best players to ever play basketball the first 7 years in cleveland. Now he’s with 2 other superstar talents along side him. Lebron is a National icon with nobody hating on him because he was trying to take the small town underdog cleveland under his wing by himself to win a ring. It proves that Lebron couldnt do it on his own, he cowared up. Just like exiting the 2010 playoffs against the celtics when he gave up in the remaining minutes, he took the easy way out and I think its gonna hurt his legacy and most of all I think the new “big 3″ have too much talent to co-exist and its not long before one must depart.
Bummer. Now I have to watch this guy on the Heat… He better practice up playing #2.
I guess the only worse thing for me will be if I start seeing LeBron out with Wade at various events around South Beach. My point… I’ve always held Dwayne apart from the ego stuff…. If LeBron ruins him, I’ll just be bummed.
I will have to get modern, just pick a team to like each night, and wait to watch until the playoffs.
I guess the consolation will be watching 3 on 5 basketball and some amusing highlight reals. Now we’ll see how bad Shaq burned his D Wade bridge…. Cause you know he’s been begging pat Riley for the past 6 hours.
LBJ just made it official, that he does not belong to the elite group of basketball stars with the likes of michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Kobe Bryant. Why is that because he did not win a championship with the where he was drafted or start playing with. He is just a second rate player maybe another barkley who will never win a championship.
Wow Miami you just win a jackpot!!!go for it LBJ
wow Miami Dynasty Going to Take it ALL!!!
Yeah right what dynasty? They will be lucky if they win one. Remember 3 great players does not gurantee a ring it takes 5 and a team not a king who is quits
lebron just proved to the world that he can’t do what mj & kobe did to their careers..
Follow the link below to “LIKE” LeBron’s choice to go to Miami:
http://likeathing.com/like.php?id=77
It’s really hard to believe that LeBron chose to join an elite duo in order to “win” (that’s how he made the term, winning). I just watched Reggie Miller’s reaction about LeBron’s decision, and I agree with him, to the fact that LeBron won’t be compared to Michael Jordan: winning championships WITHOUT going some place else.
But guys, listen. Forget about LeBron not being the most loyal of a “king” he is? He is STILL and will ALWAYS be LeBron James. You can’t handle that. No one can handle that. I mean, let’s face it. If he wants to win, then now is the time. I feel that at a young age, he and Wade and Bosh will learn one thing, probably within the course of this coming season: SACRIFICE.
I wish them all the best. My take is that they will have that chemistry. They are now the team to beat, no matter which team you put in the books against them next season.
I look forward in watching them. I’m a LeBron fan. I admit that (and I don’t care if everyone else disagrees…). Watching him doing NOT TOO MUCH OF EVERYTHING and to be able to share the load with other elite players makes me feel happy. I mean come on guys, enough of the trash talk. Let’s see them play. Let’s watch them play. You’ll never know.
I’m only 21 years old, and for me to WITNESS a dynasty in the making at this young age makes me feel BLESSED!
Happy BLOGGING!
Decision is final!!! Let’s just sit back relax, enjoy the show…. like i said before…. no need to prove to everyone that he is a great superstar!!! he did it alone……60 wins etc. but still no ring…. lets watch what happens next!!! Go Miami Heat!!!! I’m A solid fan of Dwyane Wade… A great player need a great team mate….to build a great team a to have a great game…. sorry Bulls, Ny, Nj, Clippers and most specially to Cleveland….Pat Riley’s is going to break Lakers threepeat…
well, i wasnt expecting the rumors to be true coz rumors are just rumors, well anyway, im going to hate lebron for not signing in with knicks or the cavs, i have relatives in cleveland and they are fans of the cavs now with lebron gone its going to be hard for them, i just can’t wait for the next season to start i hope the miami heat doesnt win a championship this season or if they win its going to be just 2 or 3 rings then after that its all over for them, i hope kobe and the lakers still win the championship and build there legacy as THE NBA TEAM of all time, i hope the oklahoma thunder and the charlotte bobcats became an elite team and become a dynasty unlike the heat,
Two of my favs in the same team. What more could have I wanted? Beat them Lakers and Kobe.
Im a huge miami fan! but ithink it’s a shamee that lebron has to ride the coat tails of wade 2 win a championship…if lebron is better then wade he should be able win 1 on his own!…therefore Wade n Kobe is the best n lebron id the 2nd best player.lol
It only shows that a new brand of basketball is coming our way.. Goodbye to those Michael Jordanish way of do-it-all-by-myself thing. Lebron was brave enough to show his passion for the game by saying, its not about individual talent.. its all about 1 team trying to win games, or even championships. He can easily sign up with the NYK or NJN or even with the Bulls for stardom, attention and money.. but the thing is, he wants to play with poeple who knows how to win games.. Teaming up with two other equally great guys wouldnt make him less of a Man, rather it would compliment him, in all possible ways, to make them a better ( if not the best) team in the succeeding seasons.
I can’t believe that people think this will affect Lebrons legacy..It’s actually the beginning!! Staying with Clevland would make him a great player with no championships. I’m sure that most of you crying he is not loyal are probably divorced or have broken up with a girlfriend or boyfriend so that means you are not sacrificing your happiness for loyalty, why should he?? These three guys a going to make a legacy that may never be seen again so just sit back and enjoy the show, I know I will. D.L.C. – The real BIG THREE!!
MIAMI WIN GAME WILL BE CALLED MISMATCH THAT’S WHY THEY WIN..NO CHALENGE AT ALL NO COMPETITION….MIAMI DYNASTY WILL COME..
BUT IT PROVES TO THE POWER TRIO (JAMES+WADE+BOSH)THAT THIER INDIVIDUAL TALENT IS NOT ENOUGHT TO COMPARE KOBE AT THIS TIME…THEY NEED TO COMBINE TO COMPETE FOR KOBE OR HOWARD…
JAMES+WADE+BOSH = KOBE…HEHEHE.
I can’t believe Lebron would take the easy way out about TRYING to win a ring. I just think he is a big little B####!!!
He is such of coward and thats why he will never be a KOBE or a JORDAN. U never saw either one of them leave when things got rough. They toughed it out and thats why they are two greatest players to ever play the game. The Lakers will three peat next year FOR SURE!!!!!!!!
THE BALL IS ROUND…DON’T BE SO CONFINDENT MIAMI..MAYBE YOU WILL BE ELEMINATED 1ST ROUND IN PLAYOFFS..EHEHEHE..HOW SAD…
I am a true Dwyane Wade fan all the way. I am excited about this upcoming season. I believe that we can take it all. We are a title contender again and with the additions of Bosh and Bron Bron. We can do it. I don’t care what anyone says about the king being disloyal. If it were you and you wanted to win as badly as he does, you would have made the same decision. The cavalier front office failed LeBron. They failed to get him people that would STEP UP and take off some of that pressure. As a result, he failed the city of Cleveland and left. Now he has Wade, a man who you know is not afraid of the big shot,AND does not mind sharing the rock should he be forced to do so. Now of course i’m speaking from my point of view being a Miami fan. But if i were a Cleveland fan, i would not so much hate LeBron. I would hate The cavalier front office. Its their fault.
First Congrats to Miami but it does not guarantee a ring it takes 5 players playing as a team to win not 3. Second I think James is scared that he might not win one by himself common if you are great or think that you are then you should man up and face the challenge not make it earsier on you to win a championship. James talkes about team with wade and Bosh well if he is really a team player he should have led that Cleveland team to a title and not quit on them. I am not a cleveland fans i am just baffled that a superstar who claims he is the king is making it easy for him to win. Be like Kobe and prove yourself or MJ they only need one sidekick each and make their teammates better not join with two stars and make life easy what a king you are!
Today is a day that will go down in sports history. One of the most underachieved players (by all expectations) in any sport has prooven to the world that he is. The world expected LBJ to bring a championship to Cleveland. Sorry Cleveland, your savior has chosen other options.
With that said, Easy St. will not be a cake walk. The Super Lakers demonstrated this when they had Shaq, Malone, Kobe and GP in the same line up. A super team is far from a guarantee to a championship, much less multiple ones..
The NBA season is a long difficult journey. Players need to mesh togehter. The coaching staff needs to control the players and there egos. The new big 3 will eat an in-experienced coach alive. The plan is to use Pat Riley if they don’t get the most out of there current coach. Realistacially, Patrick has not had true coaching success since the good old days of the Great Western Forum, aka the 80′s. Day and night in comparison to the World Famouse Staples Center.
In addition they need role players.
A Dynasty is not assembled with 1, 2 or 3 players. It is in the DNA of the organization and the determination of the players who act as captains, their ability to keep everyone in line, to direct and lead in a combative enviornment and to maintain the focus and hunger to achieve the ultimate. After that, they do it again and again, they regroup and go back to it.
mnga bobo kayo wla tlaga kyong alm s basket ball mg salsal nlang kayo mna ulol
What an egocentric, self obsessed child LeBron is. Just be a man, and one of humility and integrity, and make a decision and move on. Don’t demand attention to be adorned upon you with an hour long ESPN spectacle lest you whinge and cry like a juvenile. What sets apart MJ and even Kobe nowadays, is that they just play ball with brilliance and simply display a demanour that is gravitating and engaging, so sponsors, fans and the sporting world in general WANTS to endorse them. With LeBron, he works so hard at endorsing himself.
I agree with others before me; LeBron is soft to move on from his team so quick. A couple of failings in the playoffs, and he quits. MJ battled for years against his rivals, coming up short against the giants of the time; Boston and Detroit. But MJ manned up, changed his game, took it to yet another level, involved his teammates more, and found ways to win.
It’s like the slam dunk comp. LeBron just wanting to bask in some undeserved attention makes the bold statement in 2009 that he’ll be dunking in 2010, knowing that for 12 months people will be talking about it and he’ll be getting praise, without doing a thing. Then when it comes to the crunch, 2010 Slam Dunk Comp, he backs down, afraid to lose, afraid to ruin his reputation. Fear. MJ had none if it. Kobe has none of it. LeBron’s got plenty of it. And let’s face it, he probably made the right decision. I don’t know how you’d score 5 consecutive Statue of Liberty Dunks. His dunk repetoire is limited. Along with his game. Along with his personaility. Along with his maturity.
LeBron, good player, no doubt, but what’s he going to do when his knees start to fail him and he can no longer steam roll his opponents? When so much of his game is reliant on brute force, what happens when it’s gone? I’ll tell you. Karl Malone and Charles Barkley in their last few seasons. 12 points and 8 boards.
Let’s get over LeBron and look to the players like D-Wade, Durant, Rondo, Rose, etc, who joined the NBA to play ball and do it with humilty, rather than join to make cash and a childish attempt to replicate the greatness of players past.
Now is the chance for Lebron to win rings, so he can be the next Scottie Pippen..One of the greatest sidekicks..
its gonna rock al tollah in heat…wade-bosh-lbj gud luck to all of u….
but the lakers will still rise on top….
Pat Riley has alot of work to do now… i wonder where he is going to dig for money to surround those 3 with quality supporting cast and as well as a deep bench for the late season… no man alone can win a championship, that means no 3 man can win a championship, a team wins championship… Now what team is there in miami??? ;p
i cant wait this next season…….ouch miami will kill all..who will be the man of MIAMI..will they be just passing the ball??? who will be the next MVP could it be THe KING of WADE….so many questions.LOL…BEST LUCK MIAMI GO FOR THE BACK TO BACK TO BACK TO BACK…..:)
lebron, wade, bosh combined averaged about 75 pts. A night, playing in seperate teams.
Miami, 1 ball, one team, its not going to happen.
Lakers fan 4 life, but very much respect dwade!!!
Sorry guys the decision is final. lebron wants to be a champion. He sacrifice to call a King he wants a “history the making” thats why he left cleveland. he try shaq to became his teammate and jamison to became a solid team to won a championship but sad to say they were lost…… it is over….. here we go ITS MIAMI TIME… GOOD LUCK LEBRON. BREAK THE RECORD OF MJ 72WINS- 10LOSS…. THE REAL SUPERSTAR TRIO IS COMING A NEW DYNASTY HISTORY THE MAKING…….JAMES WADE AND BOSH GO! go! go! go! ……zip your mouth shot anti-miami
……….
Finally someone here has a logical comment! I completely agree with you Meech and I’ll add to your point. If Lebron is so great a player, that he needs to be deemed The King; then why does he need two other (not just good players) but superstars to bring him a championship? I am a athlete who plays pickup B ball at the parks and YMCA. I am obviously not on there level but even at the level I play at; I don’t know of any great players (again at my level) who would want or feel the need to stack their teams, the way Lebron, Wade and Bosh have. I agree with Meech that this will greatly affect the legacy’s of all three of these players, and affect them in a dramatically negative way!
I also see this as very bad for the NBA! To have half the superstars in the NBA on one team; this is bad on two fronts. For one; how many games are actually going to be competitive after halftime? How boring is it going to be watching Miami take on say Cleveland? Sure ESPN will build it up to be this big rival game, but who’s gonna challenge the Heat players; broke down Jamison or Mo Williams? Man, It’s going to be a massacre! The other issue is how many more teams will be terrible and unwatchable now? We already have my team the Pistons (I don’t want to go into that topic now), the Bucks, Pacers, Wizards, Knicks (Amare doesn’t make them a good team) and Nets. Now add the Raptors and Cleveland. Plus the decent teams like the Hawks, Bobcats and 76ers (since adding Turner) will still get trounced!
That is to say if the Heat can find 5 or 6 good players to play for 1.5 mil a year. Good luck with that! I hope they are only able to sign two more players and have to play every minute of every game! They’d be so tired by the time the playoffs started, that they’d get smoked by the likes of Charlotte!
For me miami is now officialy the team to beat!, but it doesn’t necessary mean that they would win the championship rinig, CAVS last year was a team to beat! LAKERS on 2008 was the team to beat, but they got busted!! it is imperative for heat to get key role players!! i don’t think they have a descent Big man off the bench other that the rebounding og U.haslem, they sgould get one,. B.haywood perhaps,. on the ultimate key role player for them JAMES.Posey! i think HEAT should get him again,. probably get E.HOUSE as their back-up point,. Some role players for heat!!!! Make this possible for your own good.
Barkley ewing stockton bernard king winners without a ring class act ballers well respected.lebron james pathetic
Pat Riley should be the one to coach the heat coz he nkows to handle super hot player like james and bosh
its great.
Lets guess how many games the Cavs will win next season with this roster. Maybe 25-30.
what about a team that have the best record last season, and go to the next season with lottery.
NBA fan from Vietnam.
the heats is on fire;….
wade-bosh and king
I suddenly became a Lakers fan. No, really, I cheered for the Celtics last finals (was it really just a month ago?) but I really hope that the Lakers show to the Heat that Bball is a team sport not an ego trip.
I’m looking forward to seeing who will be going for the ring instead of the money with a potential lockout coming next year. I’m looking forward to watching who will be giving up his ppg for the greater goal because they won’t deliver 80+ ppg (WLB only). I’m looking forward to seeing every other team trying to become “immortal” by beating this Miami.
Personnally I’m far away enough here in Germany to take this as entertainment. I don’t need to burn shirts, I can shed a (very small) tear when my name cousin DN will do his 11th 50 win season in Dallas and lose in the 1st round again, but overall I can just enjoy the excitement.
And there will definitely be more than enough excitement in Miami next year.
This way or that way.
To be a great athlete you must be disire to have a great companion or teamates to achieve what goal that you want..thats lebron had make a rigth choice to choose miami heat………goodluck and hope you got a championship ring nextyear…
if you call this coward?? and he cant build he’s legacy?? people remember the wins.. not the effort of trying to win.. in the end its all about the L’s and the W’s… the rings…. you cant build a legacy without winning and remember.. basketball is a 5 man game.. you cant blame lebron for joining the two just because he wants to win… and he’s a cleveland native… so what?? many players play not for their hometown but your blaming JUST lebron for doing it… Im not a Heat and specially not a lebron fan but you gotta put yourself in someones position before judging him..
Come on Danielle, are you serious? I mean, in a sports point of view, LeBron was a coward, taking the easy way out. Look, anyway you try to put it, the Heat have three (or two and a half, depending on your point of view) legitimate superstars of the game today. And since guys always try to compare them, Kobe right now has an edge on his own legacy: he stuck with the Lakers, even though he did demand a trade, but the bottom line is that he stood there and weathered the storm, guiding the Lakers back to the top.
And one other thing: Durant. The top scorer last year signs an extension and that info comes out with a simple “tweet” and an information from the Thunder. Much respect to him as well.
Looking ahead for the next season. let’s see how the Heat will do because everybody forgets that they don’t even have enough guys on a roster to start te season. We’ll see how they do.
I think people will understand Cleaveland Lebron, because, as he says, is a real chance to win the NBA again this will be very, very strong team with Wade and Bosh.
Wish him luck. he made his choice and he knows why and what happens to his heart will always Cleaveland.
Go!!!!! miami see you in the final 2011….:-) who’s going to guard or double team this trio?
Just getting this in there early Sekou – “Miami Thrice”
super excited to see those 3 play with each other again….. it doesnt matter what others says……. what matter is the game it self….. so much to expect with those 3 playing…… cant w8 to see the season start…….
3 best players on 1 team…. not just best but the very best,,,,,,,…..
this season will be the greatest……
Gve chance 2 d king, gve him chance to go to an0thr palace, if that is way he thnk he can win a ring, thn, gve him a chance,, its nyc 2 see a trio of superhuman unite 2 a 0ne kingdom,.,, but stil im n0t a heat fun, stil lakers wil win nxt seas0n, go blackmamba, and the silent assasin of lakers is back, GO SASHA VUJACIC,.
Guess what, LBJ – you made a mistake – D Wade will always have one more championship then you.
And you know what, you will never own these championships either, like MJ and Kobe own theirs – you’ll have to share with the other two, just like you will share the two max contracts available.
What a shame – you could have become a legend in the center of the world. Now you will have championships, and that bitter “what if?” nag at the back of your head.\
Good luck!
Just a reminder to Yori. Kobe “owns” only two of his rings. With Shaq being MVP for the first 3, really, they’re not Kobe’s in the same way the last two are. MJ certainly has all 6 of his though. 6 time Finals MVP. But you’re right, his titles from now on will be as much responsible from D-Wade and Bosh, as they are his. And Wade will always be the king of Miami. LeBron needs to play second fiddle to the man. Let’s see how his self-obsessed nature can deal with that? Time to learn some humility LBJ.
I know ppl supported him getting emotional. His still young don pressure him too much. He also had gave his best to Cav and the fans but it didnt make it. Shaq said he going to bring championship but it didn’t. I think his in a lost mind.I think he just want to change a new environment. He got a good friend D wade and also chris bosh. And I think he still trust his friends so might as well join force with him. They were good friends since 2003 draft pick. They will be good enough to dominate and have a good time. Lets bless LeBron James. All the best for him.
ITS GONNA BE EXCITING WHEN THE LAKERS WILL PLAY THE HEAT AND BOSTON PLAY THE HEAT….These Three teams ARE my Sure Bet to Fight For the ChamPioNshIP….GOODLUCK TO MY TEAM THE LAKERS AND MAH MAN KOBE,….
i remember before that bosh said to public that he wants to be a man and he doesnt want to be an additional….hahah. is bosh insane? did he think that he cud be the man with his 2 teammates a better from him…hahahah. nice move from the 3 for believing so many pipol that they wont play together and lbj making cavs fans kept waiting…hahah. pipol are expecting now ring from the 3, i hope they wont choke it like wat lbj experienced…hahah
WOW!!! Its just like a Video game. can’t wait to play 2K11 and choose Miami. Hehehe
Hate keep hating LBJ is in miami now to team up with a superstar in BOSH and a megastar in WADE…
L.A. this is to much for you
All i can say is WOW! my dream team, wade + lebron + bosh, BOSTON and LAKERS see you at finals!!!
EVERYONE FORGET ABOUT TIM DUNCAN…A 4-TIME NBA CHAMP..BIRD 3RINGS,SHAQ 4RINGS,KOBE 5RINGS,JORDAN 6RINGS..THESE 5NBA CHAMPS ARE LEGENDS..SO PROUD OF TIM DUNCAN,THE HUMBLEST OF THEM ALL..
LEBRON JAMES, you make a right decision, don’t listen to any body, just give us a championship together with wade and bosh, “just look up high”
Agree with Ramcir, Tim Duncan’s one of the humblest big man and a great passer too.
Personally, I dislike Lebron too, but it has been done, like the other guy said, just sit back and watch.
Too much emotion and smart-asses ruins the whole essence of watching basketball, dude it’s not all about your favorite team winning but also having a good show. That energizing feeling when Kobe gets a very hard shot, when Lebron gives a nice dunk, when Ray Allen shoots a clutch.
but could Duncan win without Parker and Manu. Plus Duncan’s first title win was with David Robinson. Larry had Mchale and Parrish not to mention Dennis Johnson. MJ had some great back up out there. Magic was couched by who? Oh yeah Pat Riley. Magic had Kareem and Worthy to back him up. This super trio will win many titles. You know guys will take pay cuts to play on this super team. I have been saying it since this went down. He’s not disloyal to his hometown. He wants to do what is best for him. You have to be happy when you wake and go to work everyday. I think people took what he said the wrong way. None of you are playing the game for him. None of are him and I am tired of all the whining already. I understand you guys think he is a coward or whatever. is KG a coward too and that must make Ray Allen one also. What about Vince Carter? He played for the raptors then went to the nets and now he plays for the magic. So where are the complaints about those guys? They all have the same mentality as Lebron, D wade and Bosh.
Great Decision Labron James your previous owner is a punk, all this about not winning in Miami vs winning in cleveland is garbage, all the best to you Chris Bosh and Dwayne wayne.
This fiasco and pompous act made Lebron look more like J.R. Rider than Magic or Michael. He held a pretentious “decision” countdown and handled everything on an elitist level until we heard his “I want to be a role player” decision. By his team choice it showed that he doesn’t have the competitive edge of the MJ’s or Kobe’s to be considered at that level, regardless of how many rings his team’s win. Had he chosen any other team then it would be his ring to But when you jump on the bandwagon, instead of wanting to compete against your peers, then you’re showing that you don’t deserve to be considered one of the greatest ever, ex. Magic, MJ, Kobe, Russell, West etc.
Also, “charity” and “Greenwich, Conn.” are proverbial antonyms. Don’t attempt to veil your “wait for me – I am the game” moment into a charity event and hold it in the most affluent community in the Northeast. At least do it in a community where light will be shone on the less privileged and give an opportunity for kids that don’t sit court side to see you up close. What about Mt. Vernon, Bronx/Brooklyn, Philly, Atlanta, North Miami etc.?
Did anyone else notice that there were little, to no, black people in the crowd. In the racially divided city of Miami, few black faces, a place that inundates you w/ Latin “flavor” + holding the LBJ pretentious production during the Oakland shooting case verdict = the lost of responsibility to your own community. Did not one of the sycophants in his entourage say to him, “This is not going to be good… this is not the path to greatness.”
In James defense he never said that he wanted to be great, he only said that he wanted to be a billionaire. I don’t see how being an expensive role player gets him there, but maybe we should thank him for showing young people that the desire to be great is just as important as the skill to be great.
Its funny all of these people saying that he is less of a player because he is having so much help from wade and bosh. People forget Jordan never won anything without Pippin, one of the greatest small fowards ever and the best definsive man his size ever, and he had rodman for 3 titles, the best rebounder that has ever played the game and also one of the best defenders. Kobe also has had his share of help shaq the most dominate man in the league for all of the titles they shared, gasol also one of the best bigs in the game today, ron artest one of the best defensive smalls in the game. If lebron wins a title there , it will be because those 3 guys are fluid enough of players to be apart of something bigger than themselves and be aprt of something great. Is lebron-wade-bosh, really more talented than jordon-pippin-rodman? that remains to be seen, dont forget pippin was 1 shot away from getting to the finals when jordon retired and wasnt even there.
No one is forgetting that Kobe or Michael had a good team around them. The difference is that neither jumped ship to build a super team. Neither was giving up the alpha-player spot. With the accolades of winning a ring as the aplha-player, there are the criticisms of coming up short. Michael and Kobe didn’t run from either. Lebron is running and running scared. Everyone knew that he was leaving Cleveland, it was a matter of where. The one place that you should not have chosen, after he’d dragged this out, was the one place that he did choose.
What is humorous about this is his media/pr team. They could not have done a worse job of this whole event. Had Lebron chosen Miami earlier and tried to be clandestine about their intentions of building a “super-team” – since competition is something that they fear – then Lebron could have stated that he is teaming w/ Wade alone. (Still a soft move in my opinion, but better than what took place.) Let Bosh come later and then pretend that he just jumped aboard. No one holds Bosh to too high of a regard. He’s not sold as the next great or “King” anything. But of course Lebron’s PR team went the wrong route just because they needed Lebron to operate above all and in autonomy; in commercials not in competition.
Lebron’s physical gifts are great. However his heart, competitive drive and pr stratagem shows us that he is less of an NBA player than we thought. He is not Kobe, MJ, Magic or West. Lebron is comparable to Cooper, Dumars and maybe Scottie. He chose the path of least resistance and that path doesn’t lead to MJ’s greatness.
This whole (you are supposed to be the main in your team) attitude is the reason for why Team USA lost in the world championships. . USA had to practice as a team to win the year after that didn’t they?
(In addition, if Wade, Lebron and Bosh together for Team USA again, having been teammates will certainly come in handy)
By the way, Michael Jordan had Rodman (by FAR the best rebounder in the league, as stats evidence for those seasons), Kukoc (the best 6th man in the NBA, he got the award), Pippen (the best supporting cast), Steve Kerr ( the best 3p % in the whole league), Ron Harper (one of the best defenders on the league at the time)
It wasn’t odd to see Pippen score 30 points in one night and even Kukoc did it on some occasions too.
(Phil Jackson as coach)
What about the Showtime Lakers, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Worthy, Byron Scott, Michael Cooper (chosen defensive player of the year on a season), Thats sounds like a Hall of Fame list and not a team.
(Pat Riley as coach)
Kareem averaged 23.4 pts per game, Worthy 20ppg and Magic almost 20 as well…
Kobe certainly did not do it by himself. On his first 3 rings he wasn’t even the MVP and on the last 2 he had
Pau Gasol (arguably the best big right now), Lamar Odom (a regular in any team), Ron Artest (same goes here) etc etc
list too long to continue. (Phil Jackson as coach)
I mean, read those names again and tell me that team is not crafted by money to make a championship. Artest had to take the mid-level to play but we all know he is worth more than that.
The Spurs David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, etc. etc. Sure I can see that theres only one star in that whole bunch because none of those other guys went on to be stars, of course…..
Celtic Pierce, Garnett, Ray Allen, Rondo, Rasheed, we now that one…..
Bottom line, show me a championship team that has won without having superstars or a remarkable supporting cast. Even more so, show me a dynasty that did not use multiple stars, I would really like to see it…..But there is no such thing
LEBRON IS TRYING SO HARD AND LOOKING SO BAD.
After all of the missteps and strategic mistakes that he has made in the last 24 hours, it is so hard not to critique every word and motion of Lebron James. The latest being his attempt at trying to 1. Show that he knows basketball history and combine it w/ 2. showing his humorous side. The amalgamation of this resulted in a joke about Pat Riley coming back and showing throwing James and Wade an alley-oop.
“Like back in those Kentucky days” – quibbled James. Everyone was laughing and Riley smirked. Why did he only smirk? Not because Riley is too cool for school, but because in Riley’s Kentucky days, blacks weren’t allowed on Kentucky’s team. Riley played for the infamous Adolf Rupp. I’m not saying that Riley is prejudice in any manner. What I am saying is that James is no longer the darling of the media or the public. He put himself in autonomy with his “decision” countdown, had the audacity to veil his pretentiousness w/ charitable good and in the end choose the path of least resistance in hopes of fooling us later that his rings, if he gets any, absolves him from being self-involved, cowardly, and an expensive puppet that those “close to him” takes turns controlling. With that autonomy comes the spotlight of what Lebron says and what Lebron does.
Maybe I’m just bitter because what we’ve just witnessed is someone that could have been considered the greatest ever, allow himself to become second rate while simultaneously smile for the camera w/ his new puppet masters… hi Riley, hi Wade.
THE KNICKS ARE ACTIVELY TRYING TO BE THE DREGS OF A ONCE PROUD FRANCHISE
Walsh is apparently considering Isiah Thomas for the Knicks’ GM position. The same position that Thomas once held as he took in bad contracts w/ bad players attached, was involved in a sex scandal resulting in an 11 million dollar suit – not Armani type – and lost confidence and pride in most Knicks fans. Also, Thomas was also the last to meet with James in the Knicks attempt at getting James in New York.
I don’t know who’s reviewing the resumes in the Knicks organization, but I’m going to say that Thomas’ curriculum vitae should be deleted from the inbox and purged from the server. If this is how the organization is run then no free-agents is going to want to be part of this algolagnia the Knicks are calling “franchise building.” Even if Walsh is only considering it out of friendship to Thomas, the further away Isiah is, the better it is for everyone.
