Hang Time Podcast (Episode 128): Featuring Brooklyn Nets Radio Voice Chris Carrino

HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS — Institutional knowledge of the NBA will flow freely throughout the locker room next season in Brooklyn.

There will be more “old pros” on that Nets roster than any other single roster in the league. A staggering eight of the Nets’ top 11 players going into the season are 30 or older, including future Hall of Famers Kevin Garnett (37) and Paul Pierce (35). who came over via that blockbuster trade with Boston from last month. They’re a team we’re considering renaming “Thirtysomething,” (for all of you old enough to remember the sitcom from the late 1980s).

Whether or not that experience will power the Nets deep into the payoffs is still being debated around these parts. And that’s why we reached out to Nets radio voice Chris Carrino of WFAN to share some of his insights from the other side for Episode 128 of the Hang Time Podcast.

Carrino, a staple on Nets broadcasts since 1992, answers all of our questions about the Nets and their chances to compete with the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks for top dog status in the Eastern Conference. We also dissect the changing roles fr guys like Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez and examine the new pressures faced by Deron Williams.

You get all of that and the name-dropping Olympics with Rick Fox and Lang Whitaker on Episode 128 of the Hang Time Podcast: Featuring Nets radio play-by-play voice Chris Carrino …
