Your All-Star starters are …?

VIDEOShould the Warriors have five All-Star starters?

> We’ll give you a chance to change your mind in a few weeks, but give me your starting five (East and West) for February’s All-Star Game, based ONLY on performance this season.

Sure, Kobe’s on-court performance hasn’t been great, but to me this isn’t the All-NBA team, this is the All-Star team, and Kobe Bryant is one of the NBA’s biggest stars. And in this final season, I want to see Kobe on one of the NBA’s biggest stages for one final time.

First, Happy New Year 2016 to all the NBA Community…Let’s get down to business here.

Now, I believe the original question is based on performance thus far (not meaning stats, your fav player, merit badges for time in the league, fav team etc. (PERFORMANCE PEOPLE!!!)

    EAST
    G Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors
    G Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls
    F LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
    F Paul George, Indiana Pacers
    F Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons

Honorable Mentions (barely don’t make it):
East – Reggie Jackson, John Wall, DeMar DeRozan, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Paul Milsap, Pau Gasol, Jeff Teague, Kemba Walker

    WEST
G Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
G Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
F Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors
F Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs
F Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder

Honorable Mentions (barely don’t make it):
West- Blake Griffin ( See Note Below) DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, Chris Paul, Dirk Nowitzki, Marc Gasol, James Harden

    Note:
Blake Griffin is a beast but no way does he make the All Star team on performance “this year” over Draymond Green. No way does GS is 30 and 2 without him on the offensive and defensive end no matter how “outta this world” Steph has been. You can get caught up in the Blake highlights and stats all you want but the Clippers are 21 and 13 and although his numbers are not Blake numbers Green is much better on performance….MUCH!!!

Kobe should get a chance to play. even though he hasn’t have the best season yet, he should be able to play his last nab-all star game

  23. James Dennis says:

I wish they would stop living in the past and start living in the present. There are two people who truly deserve to be in the All
star game. That’s Stephen. Curry and Russell Westbrook. IF any other people are picked over them it’s just plain pity.

    My Opinion:

    East:

    Lowry
    Butler
    PG13
    LeBron
    Drummond

Toughest calls: Lowry over Wall (evan Reggie Jackson makes a good case), Butler over Wade, PG13 over Bosh / Milsap

    West:

    Curry
    Westbrook
    Leonard
    Durant
    Griffin

    No tough calls here!
Maybe Kobe should be a starter, that really is a deep discussion.
No. The Warriors shoud not have 4 all stars. That’s stupid.

  29. Jet says:

    East:
    PG: Kyle Lowry
    SG: John Wall
    SF: Paul George
    PF: LeBron James
C: Chris Bosh or Jahlil Okafor

    West:
    PG: Stephen Curry
    SG: Russell Westbrook
    SF: James Harden
    PF: Blake Griffin
    C: DeMarcus Cousins

  30. David says:

Andre Drummond getting way too much respect at the center spot for the west. Cousins is by FAR the best center in the NBA…why the Center position just says Forward is a bit misleading…last time I checked Center was still a position on the court. Atleast Fanduel and Draft Kings agrees….

  31. Joe lopez says:

    John Wall over Jimmy Butler?
    Bosh over Pual George?
    Come on guys.

  32. Karlo Garcia says:

    East West
    G-Kyle Lowry G-Stephen Curry
    G-Demar Derozan G-Klay Thompson
    F-Lebron James F-Kawhi Leonard
    F-Al Horford F-Tim Duncan
    F-Chris Bosh C-Blake Griffin

  33. Connor says:

Lang Whitaker, the question clearly says “based ONLY on performance”. Kobe Bryant in that case definitely shouldn’t be starting, or even an all star for that matter. When you look only at performance/stats, Scott-Howard Cooper has the best list.

  34. DRE says:

Blake Griffin belongs on that Starting Line up for the West come Allstars. Belongs there.

  35. XMaster says:

    PG-Kyle Lowry
    SG-Dwayne Wade
    SF-Carmelo Anthony
    PF-LeBron James

    WEST:
    G – Stephen Curry
    G – Russell Westbrook

    F – Draymond Green

Thoughest calls for starters were between Bosh and Millsap/George in the East, and Green and Blake Griffin in the West.

  38. jepedahepe says:

wow! not one center has been voted for. names people! i need names!

  39. Julien says:
