2014 Free Agent Fever!

VIDEO: Courting the King has become the most important cause of the free agent summer for many teams

HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS — The identification, pursuit and securing of the right free agent at the right time can change the destiny of a franchise, when done right.

LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Kyle Lowry, Luol Deng and many others could be the players that help some franchise change its destiny (James, Bosh and Wade have already done so with the Miami Heat four years ago).

We’ll find out just after midnight, when the NBA’s free agent circus begins, where some of these guys are headed. Will the Heat’s Big 3 stick around? Will Anthony or Lowry join them?

It all comes into focus now (and no, the drama kicked off well before 12:01 a.m.) …

  1. Bit some of my money. MELO a KNICK for life.

  2. Chi1313 says:

Hard to see a big star joining LA with Kobe . Let’s see how that goes. Likewise Rose could be a deterrent Chicago

    • v1ncente16 says:

Yes I dont see it either, I would however put potencial trades in the LA basket followed by – Isiah Thomas, Lowry, Deng, Butler and maybe Pau or Ariza…

  3. Old mate and the sea says:

I think New York should sign a good luck charm: Mario Chalmers.

  4. atakan imren says:

i think melo lebron will lan at the same team which is lakers!!!! Bron is interested to be part of an epic team thhen melo said i can make a paycut to get titles yes it is very obvious that both’em wanna get titles so i think both’em will shock the world and go to LA.

  5. 808 says:

Lakers will remain in the slumps of the Western Conference with a banged up Kobe and a washed up Nash. The biggest name they will get in Free Agency will be Isaiah Thomas from Sacramento….they will end up giving Phoenix their lottery pick next year…Bledsoe back to Phoenix, Lebron back to Miami, Carmelo to Bulls…

  6. JM says:

LBJ and Kevin Love are the top two free agents in my opinion. Love could fit in nicely w/ the Suns or Rockets. LBJ could make any team he’s on better than before.

  7. J4CK Nicholson says:

    Hopefully:

    - Lakers signs Melo, and either Bledsoe, Lowry Ariza, Beasly and/or Sessions.
    - Get the latest 2 picks on board.
    - Resigns Young, Henry, Meeks, Johnson, Hill, Marshall, Farmar, Kaman and Gasol (for a wee discount)
    - Amnesty Nash or move him to coaching personnel.
    - If they can’s get Pau to resign, might as well try to get Bosh (a decent stretch 4)
    - Sign Bynum and Odom as reserves

  8. underdog says:

The best decision for the Lakers is to offer Bledsoe a max-offer.. it’s a win-win either way.. If the Suns bite, they’ll be overpaying for a redundant position (Dragic). If Suns let go of Bledsoe, Lakers will get a young player that is fit to play with Kobe and has a star potential. I think with Lowry, what you see now is what you’ll get, but Bledsoe is still improving.

  9. AusLakersFan says:

Hopefully Lakers get Melo and Bledsloe and resign Pau. Then use the rest of the money to beef up bench.

  10. The big yeezy says:

How are these blogs allowed to be so hack? The caption of the video has a spelling mistake. How does that happen? Lol

  11. B Thomas says:

The big three should try n get melo n pau gasoline to Miami n that will b the best five n the game

    • chase1797 says:

      That’s a stupid statment.
It wouldn’t be possible to sign all 5 of those players.
The Heat are having enough trouble signing the big 3 again…
They don’t even have anyone signed yet. No team !

      • LakerfanErik says:

Yeah, I agree with you.. not unless pat Riley sign the Big 3 with a Veteran Minimum, They can never ever get those 5.
