VIDEO: Serge Ibaka was feeling just fine in Game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs

HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS — Time travel is real.

Don’t believe it? Just look at how much damage Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka and the Oklahoma City Thunder did to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals. They partied like it was … Game 4 of the 2012 Western Conference finals.

What looked to be a whitewash a few days ago is suddenly a series. The Spurs were up 2-0 and in complete control with Ibaka supposedly done for the postseason with that calf strain. Two games later and the momentum has shifted in an entirely different direction with Ibaka, the ultimate rim protector, back in the mix.

Now we have to wait 48 hours to see the next twist and turn in this series. The Thunder reeled off four straight in 2012 to advance to The Finals and face the Miami Heat.

Could we be headed for a repeat performance?

If these two have anything to say about it …

… you never know!

The two true #forcesofnature in these playoffs …

No one would suggest that the Thunder be used as a teaching model, but few teams have two talents as mercurial as KD and Westbrook … #ThunderUp

You had to know the Spurs wouldn’t go quietly, whether it was the starters or cats on the end of the bench. #SpursWay

The price for rim protectors should go up this summer.

Funny how that happens against the Thunder and not the Trail Blazers and others …

Now would be a good time to re-try that case, because the verdict has certainly changed for many …

The Serge Effect in FULL EFFECT!

Don’t go there fella, unless you want to be Public Enemy in 29 NBA cities.

It’s stunning how quickly the Spurs go from dictating the tempo in a series to reacting and playing on their heels …

I’m usually an advocate of team basketball. But sometimes you have to let your stars be stars …

And yes, this is what we call a Time Machine Game ….

Pop Face anyone?

The quality of your celebrity fans says a lot about you. Well done Thunder!

Takes one to know one!

Love him or hate him, you cannot deny him. Westbrook is truly a #forceofnature when he’s on his game.

KD in the lane is problems for the Spurs. He can contort that 6-10 (closer to 6-12 if you ask me) frame in all sorts of ways to get shots off in traffic. I think he settles for jumpers far too often. He can do just as much damage inside and collect those precious trips to the free throw line in the process.

The Thunder comes quickly and out of nowhere sometimes in Thunder country …

Relentless RussWest is in the building tonight early and it shows. Thunder storm back from that early 8-0 deficit to finish the quarter on a 13-2 tear …

No Serge Protector on the floor = free for all for Parker in the lane.

A 7-0 OKC run with Lamb in the lineup in place of Jackson. The Thunder are taking “next man up” to the next level in this series. Bravo Scotty Brooks  …

Thunder cannot catch a break. Now Reggie Jackson heads to the locker room after rolling his right ankle all the way over. OKC medical staff are miracle workers, though, so he should be back by halftime.

There is wrong, plain wrong and just dead wrong. This is DEAD wrong!

He can’t settle. If he does, this series goes back to San Antonio tied at 2-2 and it’s literally anyone’s series then …

Stretch it out TP, because you’re on deck tonight!

  1. JB says:

Miami will finish with the number 2 seed of the east IND Pacers. I said number two seed because that is really what they are MIAMI just took the easy path in the playoff until get to the east finals. Miami will be well rested because OKC and SAS series will go to game 7 while Miami will get rid of the Pretenders (IND Pacers) today. OKC will win game 7 in San Antonio and make it to the finals and it will be a rematch of 2012 finals. Miami will end up winning the championship in 6. However, all the games will be close games and will come down to closing quarters.

    • kd's abeast says:

I agreed with everything up to miami will beat okc in 6. I say thunder in 7 by 8 points. Because we figured out this season that miami cant defend small ball an d we play better than them wen we sit perks which will leave spoelstra searching for new lineups wr also upgraded from the choker that is harden to caron butler who has played with and against miami before. And kd is also playing less minutes because he is resting up to bring his game back to the level it was at between december and january for the finals push. I’ve said it countless time this season okc has been playing like they r possessed. Everyone has been doubting them since the grizzlies series and 1 by 1 they have been taking teams down and they wont stop until they reach their goal.

  2. atlantico says:

Spurs plays better without Tonny Parker.

  3. Defdun says:

OKC will not be able to win in San Antonio without their crowd backing them. The Ibaka effect is over and James Harden is not around either. So it’s Spurs in 6 or 7. But great series and great storyline for the playoffs and all you writers… Didn’t you know that fairy tales don’t repeat themselves. (…and Ray Allen is not gonna make no life-saving three in the Finals either!)

    • kd's abeast says:

But they have won in sa before with that crowd backing them as I said everyone should keep doubting thunders. Because it seems that is our good luck charm.

  4. LoveThisGame says:

It was hilarious to see how many foul calls could Westbrook and Durant get in order to win a game LOL And dun tell me that the no. of foul calls are even for both teams, coz the thunders received the favourable calls at the critical points of time in game 3 and game 4. But at the end of the day, you can still say the thunders deserve the W coz no one would know what would happen if the games were conducted in a fairer manner, in terms of officiating.

  5. jake s. says:

Notice the lack of trash talk from the Texans. Thunder, you are all we have as Okies. Hank Hill is having a Hank-attack somewhere.

  6. Ryan says:

Nice game by OKC. But since Heat is destined to be back in the Finals, Spurs should win this series to stop the Heat having a 3 peat..

  7. Heat_fan says:

OKC: welcome back in the playoffs and thank IBAKA and WESTBROOK for it!

  8. okctofinals says:

Ibaka says, “Not in my house!” This one may be going the distance after all! Durant and Westbrook are back to their old selves finally!

    • kd's abeast says:

I actually think kd is resting up for the finals he is playing less and less minutes and hes not really asking for the ball hez sitting back unless it comes to him
