Hang Time Podcast (Episode 114) Playoff Chatter!

HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS — Despite our best efforts to convince him to do so, Kobe Bryant did not live Tweet Episode 114 of the Hang Time Podcast.

Apparently, the injured Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar was serious about curbing his enthusiasm for 140 character bursts of his insights after his work in Game 1 of the Lakers-San Antonio Spurs series caused an uproar (even Phil Jackson got in on the Twitter fun).

Seriously, though, if ever there was a time for some instant analysis on what’s going on in the NBA, it’s the first round of the playoffs, when the chatter on and off the court comes in constant waves from one side of the country to the other.

Can Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks finish off the Boston Celtics as we’ve known them in their series? Can the Chicago Bulls, sans Derrick Rose, upset the Brooklyn Nets and move on to a second round date against LeBron James and the Miami Heat? How in the world did Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors shoot a mind-boggling 65 percent from the floor (57 percent from deep) in a playoff game?

And how exactly did the Cleveland Cavaliers convince Mike Brown to come back to them for a second go around as their head coach (there are $20 million reasons that forced him to say yes)?

We discuss answers for all of those questions and plenty more on Episode 114 of the Hang Time Podcast: Playoff Chatter!

Definitely believe that that you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the web the easiest thing to consider of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed at the same time as other folks consider issues that they plainly do not understand about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest and outlined out the entire thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thank you

  2. sashabella says:

This is not the fantasy i imagined……Iamonly watching miami and milwauke series when it is on tnt so I can check out the tnt crew…love them guys.. ernie, chuck, kenny and shaq.
clippers and memphis awesome series… brooklyn and nets awesome series…golden state and denver awesome series…all others cant wait till next round…. love them celtics but without a shooter it will be a sweep….j-terry useless…. same for hawks, jsmooth needs to do his job and stop trying to be kdurant… jsmooth-useless….

  3. Kimmy says:

OKC vs Miami. Watch out for the Thunder!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. KnickerBocker says:

Celtics fans please.KG is playing injured n pierce is getting shut down!! Kenyon Martin is a big piece so no way they come back no more than a 6 game series.Bucks can win 2 games but not the series. Without rose bulls hav no chance against the heat. I’d rather c d-will dominate, Joe Johnson crush wadee Wallace stop LeBron(somewhat)Reggie Evans box out Bosh. then Lopez dominate in the post. I think win via nets bench.pacers cant stop the knicks JR Smith n melo n defense from chandler n martin. #underrdogsrule#NewYorkisboss

  5. JR Knick says:

    – Miami’s gonna sweep the Bucks
    – The Knicks are gonna win one in Boston and finish them off in NY. Boston has no depth and the Knicks have 3 starters on the bench that could play on any other team in the NBA, makes all the difference.
    – Bulls and Nets will make it to game 7, if Joe Johnson is healthy, the Nets will probably move, we’ll see…
    – Pacers are too much for the Hawks to handle, Pacers will probably win in 5.

So basically im predicting for the semifinals Knicks-Pacers and Miami-Brooklyn/Bulls. Personally, I would love to see Miami-Chicago, there’s a lot of bad blood there, and the last game in Chicago was intense; the Bulls ended their streak and Lebron complained about the Bulls physical play.

  6. los says:

bucks are not going to win, Celtics are not going to win and anybody that says they want the bulls to take the Heat out, that is someone that knows nothing about basketball the best eastern conference finals this year will be the pacers and the knicks , but if pacers advance the knicks are going to have a difficult time moving on. mike brown coming back to Cleavland does not mean a thing Lebron is not going back to Cleavland maybe when is time to retire. and i see alot of people have no confidence on the nets i see them advancing to the second round. and golden stat may not be a big factor this year but that team has talent and so not long from this season golden state going to become a big threat who knows what happens in the off season with all these contracts expiring.now kobe well lets just repeat this…kobe is just a fan now

  7. tyletaylor says:

i tell u what. lebron please go back to cleveland. it will make every contending team in the nba lives a whole lot easier. especially for my knicks we dont have to worry about duking it out 7 games with the miami heat, which will be like ali vs. foreman rumble in the jungle part 2

  8. Paige says:

How do you NOT mention the SAN ANTONIO SPURS?!? You mention the loser-lakers and all their loser-drama, but not the team who is up 2-0 on them. WOW.

  9. APettway says:

knicks going all the way TO A WINN

  10. ClevelandForLife says:

Since brown is back lebron is for sure going to come back its ment to be

  11. SWAGMASTER says:

the celtics arent winning anything without Rondo just sayin

  12. knicksbaby says:

Besides Knicks, I liked Celtic, but the reality is Knicks have too much for Celtic to take on. It’s a sorry that they both meet so early at the post game.

i hope chicago wins and give heat a hard time, so they would lose before conference final ❤

  13. :) says:

    houston we have a problem………

  14. IDIOT dmm says:

u dont know lebron who u know???? u r the only person who dont know lbj maybe u are alien lol…

  15. Q says:

The celtics will go down in 4! Carmelo Anthony and The New York Knicks are not playing and have something to prove. Melo got the scoring title J.R Swish got the sixth man, they got a taste of NBA success, and hungry for more. Indiana will take us to six before we beat them and we want the “MIAMI HEAT” they beat up on us last playoff and we have won 3 of the 4 this season. We are too big inside and shoot too well outside. Will go 6 or 7 games all in favor of the NEW YORK KNICKS

  16. BIG MEAN & GREEN!! says:

For any true basketball fan, player,ex player. Think twice before you count the CELTICS out of anything…They have proven you wrong so many times in the past that ive lost count. I would be quiet if I were you and wait and see how things play out. As you know You might just end up the FOOL yet!!

    • Laker23 says:

sorry buddy…I think the Lakers-Celtic super power legacy is temperamentally gone. Both Lakers and Celtic are 7th seed and getting their butts kicked.

    • Christian Casagranda says:

Your a fool, the Celtics are old and don’t have the same players that were built around the 2008 championship team.

    • Knicks fan says:

You right no one and i mean no one is secure yet look at this fools sayins we got lebron we cant lose pls like hes superman or omething i bet the bucks will win at home

    • Jason says:

I agree with you Big Mean & Green, the Celtics have a way of winning even when it appears they don’t have a chance. Its almost like they are a completely different team once the playoffs start. I am rooting for the Heat, but I really respect Doc Rivers, and the whole Celtics team (minus Jason Terry).

  17. brandon says:

unless miami’s big 3 got kidnap in bucks town, hell yeah they might win?

  18. Bulls Fan 73 says:

Mike Brown back at Cleveland… then will Lebron be back next year?

  19. Bulls Fan 73 says:

Bulls will upset Nets for sure! and the Heat will face their only enemy in east in the second around. It is gonna be a tough series.

  20. Krum Krumov says:

Seriously? My girlfriend cheers for Miami and I’ve explained her that them winning in the first round as a #1 Seed against the Bucks is nothing to cheer for. In fact, if they lose, I will fall down on the ground and start laughing and rolling.

  21. EnKerro says:

Maybe the bucks will win the whole thing ? We never know ;D

  22. Luis says:

how do you know that the heat are already in the second round?
