If Houston gets Josh Smith. The Lakers will not make the playoffs 100%. Right now they have a chance considering how inconsistent Houston can be at times.
Especially if they manage to hold on to Asik or Parsons and add Smith with Harden and Lin…That not only makes Houston a definite playoff team, but I think it could make them possible contenders
Most of these rumors of big trades seem to be a figment of writers imaginations because of the need to have something to blog about in the 24 hour news cycle. Havent seen many actual facts out there, where are all these big trades?
Houston will move up. Utah will fall to 8th or 9th.
Not sure how that will happen…. Personally I like P.Pat better than TRob in the immediate…..but I like Robinson in the long run.
I don’t know why people keep saying Lakers chasing Houston we are gonna move as high as the 6th spot in the conference, we beat Utah twice and Golden State, One of those two teams will get caught, Harden and the Rockets are on a Mission not to mention the 2-1 lead in the season series over the Lakers.
Actually the jazz have a 2-1 series lead on the lakers, they beat the lakers at home and than in LA
Edward, we?? Lakers are not making the playoffs. Do not dream while typing.
Mt. Cool…..Still a long way to go before you can say the Lakers will not make the playoffs. They still have 20+ games to play.
They might have a chance.. if they knew what the word defense means. They want to play as a defensive team but get Steve Nash and D’Antoni. So they switch to a Run N Gun offense, but they’re too old. Nash is 38, Pau 33 I think, Kobe 34,Jamison is in his 30′s, Metta is in his 30′s, and Howard has the back of an 80 year old woman. Every team above them in the West is younger and plays more defense.
The Rockets have no more pieces to trade for Smith cause they arent giving up Robinson, unless they do Garcia, Asik, Jones (hopefully White instead), and several picks.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine This could work.
trade howard coward to josh smith……….lakers need a serious and matured player like smith
please, let lakers trade howard coward to josh smith…Im begging you…please,please…………..please lakers…
If Houston gets Josh Smith its Over Lakers!
rockets should go ahead and give up Robinson… Josh smith will make them better instantly and he is in his prime. Smith next to Asik and Harden, Lin, and Parsons on the floor…the Rockets could make a serious playoff push… and only get better in the future
You sure smith will resign?
Maybe trade steve nash for jeremy lin?
change the lakers bench???/
LMAO I’d take Nash at 45 before I take Lin!
No way Josh Smith walks away from extra million(yes, millions) that the Hawks can offer him this summer. Cooler heads will prevail given the opportunity over the offseason. Everything being offered at this point is simply horrible, including Milwaukee’s offer of Monte Ellis. Ferry, this franchise has had its share of bad moves. Don’t be the lastest GM to send the franchise backwards.
maybe they miss their shooting guard hogging the ball?
Josh Smith is not a max player, don’t do it.
Daryl morey is super smart do y’all see what he did yesterday he got a really good player while adding cap, room for next free agency period so if we get josh smith in trade we still have room to add Dwight Howard wooowww n not to mention josh smith is Dwight Howard best friend and already been mentioning about playing in Houston
If the Bucks could manage to hold on to Ellis and Jennings in a deal with the Hawks for Josh Smith.. Those three could be very dangerous together.
Smith for Bogut and Jack. GS has been better without Bogut anyway, and they can play small ball but with superior hustle and athleticism. ATL would finally get a center and a PG (jack is phenomenal this year).
ATL: Bogut-Horford-Deshawn-Korver-Jack
GS: Lee-Smith-Barnes-Thompson-Curry
Why is it that everytime a post is up, it something about the Lakers, I remember this time last year it was all about the Lakers and how they had to have Howard, and now it is about how they cant stand Howard! LMAO.
Because Lakers have bandwagon fans that don’t know what they’re talking about
LOL, true!
If they have Jsmith this summer, next year we’ll be hearing Jsmith is so lazy please trade him.
Im regarding in what is being discussed in the comment areas by the fans, for example;”Trade Nash for Lin” smh…
I agree so much… Nash is good don’t get me wrong but for Lin? No… People gotta be realistic….Nash is old and Lin is still young in his 3rd season
Jordan Crawford to Boston. This could mean he will see a bump in fantasy value. He should be happier in Boston who are very short at the point. Great move for Boston for the done-for-the-season Barbosa.
Can a team force a player to do a sign and trade or can a player refuse and just walk as an free agent?
I believe that is one of the most vital information for me. And i’m happy studying your article. But should observation on few normal issues, The website taste is great, the articles is in point of fact nice : D. Just right task, cheers
