HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS — The wait should be over in a little over an hour.
Everyone waiting to see what Dwight Howard looks like in a live game for the Los Angeles Lakers need only tune into NBA TV (9:30 ET) for the Lakers-Sacramento Kings preseason game.
Mike Bresnahan of The Los Angeles Times broke the news earlier when he tweeted that Howard will indeed play tonight, making his long-awaited debut in purple and gold.
The Lakers are 0-5 in the preseason, with only Kobe Bryant appearing to be in regular season form. Howard, Bryant, fellow newcomer Steve Nash, Pau Gasol and Metta World Peace will serve as the core group for a Lakers team that hopes to threaten the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs for Western Conference supremacy as well as the reigning NBA champion Miami Heat for the Larry O’Brien trophy.
