LeBron And The Ring Maker

MIAMI – LeBron James and the Miami Heat aren’t the only ones reveling in the championship glory this morning. The millions who stuck by his side are celebrating as well.

If you need to identify them, they’ll be the ones who can appreciate this nice 62-second career retrospective (courtesy of the folks at Nike Basketball) on the man who finally got his ring:

    They should make that ring out of silver not gold. Lebron took the easy road to winning a ring. He will never get the same respect as MJ,Kobe,Magic,Bird,Olajuwon has. He left his team to team up with 2 superstars in their primes.

    • LBJFan says:

      He never took the easy way out, simply the smartest way. MJ had his very good supporting cast, Kobe always has a big man and a cast of good role players and Magic had a very good Laker team during his title reigns. Cleveland never gave LeBron a championship-calibre group. He was simply too good to bring the Cavs to 2 Championship rounds on his own. got that?

  2. shairise12 says:

    It only took 8 years and 1 trade… Lets see if can man up like Ron Artest excuse me WORLDPEACE, who auction off his 2010 RING for charity. im not a hater, just showing the facts…

  3. Just Enjoy The Game says:

    I love the title of the article ! Lebron and the Ring! Sounds like a happily ever after story.. Well I’m hoping for a more great plays from Lebron in the coming seasons. Congrats Miami and LBJ. Looking forward for season 2012-2013.

    Congrats LBJ! you really are the best. Best of luck to the haters! hope you can still dig down your “hating collection” something to say.. haha.. Before the season, you said that you would consider him King if he wins a ring, now that he won all you say is he wins much much more.. haha.. wait and see.. LBJ will always put all your issues to rest! 1 at a time, until you have no other choice but to appreciate, love and admire everything that a ture great basketball player has.

  7. ljb haters says:

  8. Victor Manoel, a huge LeBron fan says:

    Thank you, Miami Heat, for put on a great run to this title and give us the fans some of the best of the basketball.

    Thank you, LeBron, you’re a champion and now everybody can move on and stop the trashtalking and the jokes about you being ringless. Finally, some people will see that you’re the most complete player in the world right now and deserves everything you’ve got. I’m from Brazil and you’re such an idol for me.

    Thak you, OKC Thunder, because you’ve beaten the Spurs, which would have been such a terrible matchup for the Miami Heat. You guys are great and no doubt will be champions in the next years (but need another scorer than Durant, Harden and Westbrook; somebody like Mario Chalmers in Miami).

    Congratulations to the Miami Heat supporting cast, which played a BIG role in this Final series: Battier was pretty amazing, and Chalmers and Miller stepped up when it mattered the most!!!

    CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEXT SEASON!!! THE HEATLES ARE CHAMPS!!! LET’S GET ANOTHER RING IN 2012-2013!!!

  10. thecycloneedition says:

    As an OSU and Cleveland fan, I would love to see Sullinger fall far enough for the Cavs to grab him with their second pick.

  11. bolas says:

    Where’s all the writers here rooting for okc and punishing lebron? nothing to say now?

  12. Agudo says:

    There will always be haters, people who want to hold others back and talk them down and actually get satisfaction out it. 9 times out of 10 they’re insecure little babies who were teased a little too much during high school or whatever. Since the dawn of time till the end this will always be. This is why we think of James as a greater player, whether willingly or subconsciously. Not only did he have to carry this team to the finals, he actually carried a team to a championship and all with the added burden of public scrutiny, criticism and hate that has plagued him since coming to Miami. He is a deserved MVP and finals MVP and this is certainly a ring well earned.

  13. W/E says:

    The only reason they become a dynasty IF this ever happens is because there is no competition in the east….so every year they will be in the NBA finals cause no eastern team has a good enough core to compete with these guys…its gunna be even worse in the next year with D rose down and the celtics best scorers pierce and ray allen getting too old…

    • Sick says:

      The East really gives competition to Miami…
      and your West????

    • K says:

      W/E your comment makes no sense!!!! Miami didn’t beat an Eastern Conference team to win the World title; they beat a team from your highly competitive Western Conference!!! Just crazy!!! Haters will be haters, no matter what!! Miami Heat 2011-2012 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!! You haters have all summer to whine!!!!!

  14. MIAMI 3 6 1 says:

    Hey does anyone of you have seen TheNewBurgerKing’s lollipop??? Please for the love of the GAME return it to him right away…. He’s desperate now… he Needs a HUG….. Don’t worry I’ll Post it on every tree….. or I make a Foundation out of it…
    By honoring your relentless effort… TheNewBurgerKing LOLLIPOP Foundation….Just stay with us…. Our efforts will be in vein if we lose you….. uLOLS!!!!!

  15. MIAMI 3 6 1 says:

    @TheNewBurgerKing

    Because you’re a SORE LOSER!!!!! You’re blinded by HATE…. LeBron will never get back on your Cavs…. Go join Dan Gilbert and burn cleveland cavs #23 jersey as many as you like… But you’re still a SORE LOSER…. uLOLS…..
    I guess you’re still hurting inside… Tears on your eyes…. oh my such a SAD story… You can’t even handle the Truth and Disappointment….. Be strong girl… It’s not the end of the World…. just move on…. Should I call your family (if you have one) so they can comfort you…. You can do it… come on… You can handle your emotions …You can do it…. I do believe you girl…. LMAO!!!

  16. Felix says:

    STAY HUMBLE AND PROUD…

  17. Felix says:

    CONGRATS BRON YOU DID IT….YOU GET THE RING

  18. Chico says:

    Wade not going to the Olympics? Ok, the season is pretty important, and they finally won, but is the Olympics !!!
    I don’t know if people don’t get it or if they think that their basketball is to powerful that they will get the gold medal without their best, but it is supposed to be the most important event to any player of any olympic sport. It happens only in 4 years. I think that maybe american people does not have this mentality. Almost as brazilians are to Soccer(**** the Olympics, let’s try the World Cup). Guys should understand that the best basketball is in the USA, but is not the only place with extremely capable players.

    No offense to anybody, please understand

  19. lebro james says:

    just happy that you finally win a championship. i’m a heat fan since wade arrive in miami. here in our place if someone talks bad about you i always defend you because i know YOU ARE THE TRUE COMPLETE PLAYER IN THE NBA. FOR ME YOU ARE THE BEST PLAYER TO EVER PLAY THE GAME.

  20. maria lazar says:

    Congrat. to the MIAMI HEAT!!!!! Special to LBJ. You were SO SO GOOOOOD! I newer forget that evening front of my tv. Just keep beliving! Love: Maria. God bless!!!

  21. Patrickmarc says:

    Lebron James, a new man, still humble, a super attitude, a lot of respect for this champion.

  22. KOBE says:

    HE FINALLY PLAYED LIKE A MVP SHOULD IN THE PLAYOFFS AND FINALS..HE WAS A MONSTER..IM ONE OF HIS TOUGHEST CRITICS BUT HE FINALLY GOT THE MONKEY OFF HIS BACK AND WAS VERY CLUTCH…HE EXERCISED HIS DEMONS IN THE FINALS..NO HATE HERE..CONGRADS…

  23. CManley says:

    Lebron might be the greatest basketball player in the world who has ever played. Period. Or at least thats what ESPN wants you to buy. And then buy the hat. Its hard to wonder just how authentic this ring really is, because he had to go to a “special” team to do it, screwed over a bunch of fans and then spit in their face, became the biggest narcissist in sports, and has all of the major networks commentators licking the floor where he walked by. He wasn’t the king because of accolades and wins, he became the king of hype, placed there by media and the league to make money. The only “haters” out there are people who want the game played with some humility and less personal circus. And with how many people seem happy today, I’d like to see where all these “haters” are, other than myself. He needs to get 4 more and tie Kobe before he’s king of anything other than himself.

    And can we please do something about charges? quit calling them. We saw what happened to Fisher, who is 7 inches smaller the Lebron. Flagrant? you have got to be kidding me. Just move this team through and give them their one ring, cause the rest of the league won’t let it happen again.

    • Sick says:

      Haters always CRY…. LOL

    • El Drake Shell says:

      You’re only as good as your last championship ring. 2012…NBA MVP/NBA FINALS MVP/NBA CHAMPION = LEBRON JAMES IS KING 2012

      • El Drake Shell says:

        There is no comparing anyone to what someone else has done in the past…because it’s just that PAST. We’re here now…LBJ is doing it. He doesn’t make the commercial he just acts in it…He doesn’t write the headline, he’s just the subject…He plays the game and he plays it well. And I’m a Knicks fan.

    • K says:

      CManley LeBron’s ring is just as authentic as the Boston Celtics ring in 2008 (the first coming together) of three major stars! LeBron’s James’ ring is just as authentic as Kobe’s ring in 2006 (ooops!!!) he didn’t win one in 2006 did he; Shaq had left him by him self and Kobe never won another ring until he was joined by another All-Star caliber player, now did he? You can hate until the “cows come home!” But after you are done; the LeBron lead MIAMI HEAT will still be the 2011-2012 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!! All up in your grill!

  24. TheNewBurgerKing says:

    All Hail King puss !!!! He can go show off da ring to his ex Cavaliers teammates and fans.
    I am sick of this so called king have a ring thing.
    Seriously, I don’t see no reason why should he be so happy/proud of himself since he needs to join other team for a title… ;)
    These people are shameless..

    • LeBrAde says:

      We love you Haters!!! ^_^

    • designlords says:

      cry,..baby cry,, let it flow… cos for us, we are celebrating! wahahahahaha

    • STEVEH NOWONDER says:

      Haters will be haters. I dont get it why people always look for other things to criticize or bash on lebron. Fellaz, he ALREADY DID WON A RING, which in the first place YOU ALL HATERS said he WONT even get at MIAMI. He left cleveland simply because, cleveland management doesnt have the power to give lebron a good set of TEAMMATES OR maybe he felt / invisioned going to south beach, getting his much needed TEAM help and winning a championship there. Nothing you can do about it, respect a players decision, he is not on your LEVEL and never will be. And wade is actually his real life best buddy before he even got to miami. So i think he also felt warm and most welcome going to MIAMI. A BIG LOL for all the haters, no more drama pretty pls. HAHA because all your remarks looks stupid. HATERS will always be LOSERS.
      CONGRATULATIONS LeBron James, Dwayne, Chris and the heat team and heat management…..! #clapback

    • H3@ says:

      Lol I see people in Cleveland are very upset about this.

    • Sick says:

      You’re just jealous…
      cry and cry cavs fan… LOL

    • dattebayo says:

      I don’t remember every NBA Champion and I certainly don’t recognize many of them, because I am only 25 years old. But the general rule with some exceptions is, that only teams stacked with at least 2-3 great players (Allstars, All NBA Team, All NBA Defensive Team) surrounded by some solid or good roleplayers win a Championship. I only know the Rockets that defied that rule in 1994 and 1995.
      In the 80s, the Celtics and Lakers each had at least 3 players every season who were later inducted into the Hall of Fame. The Bad Boy Pistons had 3 stars in Dumars, Thomas and Rodman. The Bulls had Jordan and Pippen and later Rodman. The Spurs had Duncan and Robinson and later Parker and Ginobili. The Lakers had Kobe and Shaq and later Gasol along with Bynum and Odom. The modern Celtics only won with Garnett, Rondo, Pierce and Allen. Shaq joined the Lakers to win his rings and later Miami, Clyde Drexler left Portland when they were rebuilding and won his only ring with the Rockets in 95. Both those guys are members of the NBA 50th Anniversary Team, honoring the 50 greatest players in NBA history.

      James led a team full of nobodies to the Finals in 2007, losing the Finals does not diminish the great season that Team had then. Last year they lost to a very good and deep Maverick Team and this year they beat the clear favorites to win the title. Just accept it, James is a beast and he has his 1st ring…

    • K says:

      You mean “KING” puss with a ring! That’s right hater; 2011-2012 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS (THE LEBRON JAMES LEAD; MIAMI HEAT)! King James to you HATER!!!!

  25. Jason says:

    i think alot of the hate came from two things:

    1) Calling James a King before the title
    2)Throwing a big party in Miami before they won anything

    Now that he…..they……have finally won the championship, we now get to see if it will become a dynasty.

    I’m not a heat fan but I love good basketball.

    Congratulations to James and the Heat!

    • K says:

      Miami had every right to throw a party; they had just signed the best player in basketball! They got the prize that every other team in the league wanted, “The King” LeBron James!

  26. Belizeboy says:

    Great commercial, and great job to James, Wade, Bosh and the rest of the Heat!

  27. theking0522 says:

    “Some say I was a choker. Some people wanted me to fail. I was called Lequit, Lequeen, quitter, and every possible name you can imagine. Some say I would never win a championship. Some people wish me ill. Others say they wanted me to get a career ending injury. Many wish ill to my family, my daughter, my mother. And some people even wish me death. I just want to say……….THANK YOU!!!”

    ~~~Lebron James
    • patcarter says:
      Students of the game never doubted your talents. We have been all waiting on you to fully appreciate your special blessing, as then that was going to be your moment. So happy for you personally, and still in love with this game and all the greats before you and just happy to watch you continue to make history and become a teacher of the game (ala Hakeem). Thanks for the uplifting moment in the mist of trying to survive. Therr is more to your journey than the game of basket ball. God bless you, thank you for the positive role model, and for once again restoring faith for those of us who know that good will always prevail over evil, negativity.
    • bballjunkie1 says:
      Students and fans of the game never doubted you winning it all, we’ve been waiting on you to get to that spiritual part in your soul to appreciate your blessing, because it would be then that all of the basketball accolades would come. Thank you for being such a positive model for the kids and younger players. Although they may not admit it but some of your adversaries will be taking a page from your winning blue print IQ of the game. Playing basketball will not the only blessing you will share in your lifetime.
    • Kd11 says:
      well Lebron I just wanted to say I have never doubted u. It took u 3 times to win because those were the trials god was putting u through . Just wated to tht and this was ur 1st and certainly not ur last. God bless u and ur family
  28. sanjay says:
    looks like heat is in mood to get another one come next year….! All the pieces are there in place to get it done.! let players take plenty of rest. There is no need for wade to go to olympics. His knees needs rest( may be surgery who knows), lebron also needs rest!
  29. gbacch says:
    Best of wishes to the Heat organisation and especially LBJ. Well done. I love how you’ve grown. Keep up the good work and can’t wait to see your ROCK.
  30. Bev says:
    I am sooo happy for the Heat, LeBron, D-Wade, Chris Bosh and all the guys.
    Love you guys.
    Lots of love,
    Beverly
  31. Leo says:
    Congratulations, Lebron. I remember you playing basketball and working on your game back in ’99 after losing in a finals on a youth basketball tournament in South Florida. Your hard work and dedication paid off when you won as a freshman in high school. Once again, after losing last year in the NBA Finals and winning this year, you proved not only to yourself and your team but to the rest of the world that if someone works hard through practice and dedication they can overcome and achieve their dreams. Good luck to you on your NBA career and enjoy the moment. May God continue to bless you and your family.
  32. RM says:
    Third time’s the charm, congratulations LeBron and Heat.
  33. theking0522 says:
    I am sooo happy for Lebron James. The guy who has never raped or being accused of raping anybody (see Kobe Bryant and Ben Roethlisberger). The guy who has not killed dogs (see Michael Vick). The guy who has never been accused of DUI or for possession of marihuana (see……MULTIPLE EXAMPLES IN PRO SPORTS). Fans can forgive players who cheat on their wives (see Kobe Bryant again) or brake the law. But don’t you dare go on ESPN and raise money for POOR AND SICK CHILDREN. Don’t you dare go on national television to raise money and help children. America won’t forgive you for that. America would rather forgive a rapist or a criminal than a guy with a CLEAN RECORD. Hypocrites!!!!!! It doesn’t matter anymore. Who cares now? The King has a ring and nobody can or will take that away from him. Many of you are a bunch of losers. Lebron has a ring and he is going to have a nice and beautiful summer………Have I mentioned the guy never broke the law?
    • AwwPlease says:
      People can be so hypocritcal and they judge way too harshly and hold grudes as if they are perfect and never made any bad decisions in their lives. Get over it and move on!
  34. ed valen says:
    nice video mr sekou
  35. Ben says:
    Congratulation LeBron James for winning NBA championship. I know this ring will not be the last one. You will win more than three NBA championship I am sure of it.
    congratz to the king :)
  37. DopeBoy says:
    Congrats LeBron! I hope this is not last for Wade!
  38. AwwPlease says:
    This win is sooo sweet! I am so happy for my team and especially Lebron because he has all kinds of criticism and hate thrown his way yet in the end he PREVAILED! Gotta love it! I’ve been a Heat fan since ’05 but I am glad Lebron came on board because he is a true talent and Wade couldn’t have done it without him.
    Congrats fellas, you guys worked hard through the good and the bad and you deserve it!!
  39. marie says:
    where are the haters? y is so quiet out there?
    • Bonafide says:
      I wonder how heavy 1 ring is?? cause other players must have their hands hurting wearing 4 or 5 :)
      • Belizeboy says:
        Not as heavy as 3MVPs which I NO OTHER player in the leauge is strong enough to carry.
      • Sick says:
        But i guess 3 MVP trophies are a million times heavier than those ring.. :)
      • Sick says:
        “rings”
      • K says:
        Let’s ask Durant; oops…….. He wouldn’t know because LeBron has one more then him! HEAT 2011-2012 NBA World Champions! Love it or hate it; it’s nothing you can do to change it, HATER!!!!
  40. Timeout Grizzlies says:
