HANG TIME WEST – There were no late surprises Thursday as the NBA released the names of 49 U.S. college underclassmen and 17 international prospects who declared as early-entry candidates for the June 28 draft.
Players had to submit a letter to the league by Sunday and have until 5 p.m. ET on June 18 to withdraw.
The only confirmation that needed to be tracked was Quincy Miller, who said in a school announcement that he was staying at Baylor and later changed to say he was coming out. Miller, a potential lottery pick at the start of 2011-12 before slipping to be projected to go in the late-to-mid first round, did officially declare as part of the full list revealed Thursday.
