HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS — Hawks center Al Horford had successful surgery on his torn left pectoral muscle Tuesday afternoon, per Hawks VP or public relations Arthur Triche.
Horford is likely done for the remainder of the regular season, leaving the Hawks with a huge hole to fill in the middle with their All-Star center finished for the year.
The Hawks have won three straight games without Horford, their last a 93-84 in their Martin Luther King Jr. Day game. Horford suffered the injury in the first quarter at Indiana Jan. 11.
Horford hasn’t officially been ruled out for the entire season (playoffs included). But expected to miss the next three to four months, which would take him to the middle of April and the end of the regular season if he came back in three months.
